Annual General Meeting decides agenda May 20, 2010 Can IT transformations be standardized? How IT can become a business enabler. May 4, 2010 In today's increasingly global competitive environment, companies need to transform their IT systems on a regular basis. As well as giving organizations a competitive advantage, an IT transformation can play a crucial role in their future growth. Companies go for IT reconstruction mainly to harmonize and consolidate. They also need to overhaul or revise IT infrastructure following mergers, acquisitions, splits and carve-outs. However, a host of problems confront those organizations that engage in IT transformations. The main problem areas are cost, time, transparency and external and internal monitoring. In addition to these, compliance with industry codes, certainty of outcome, performance and assessment of project costs are giving companies a tough time.
Often, management lacks the commitment and professionalism to successfully communicate and implement an IT transformation. The complexity of IT has further intensified the challenge for IT transformations in recent years. Most companies believe that the increasing demand for quick IT transformations requires automated processes with standardized software to carry out the project, from planning to execution, quickly and safely. The software needs to become available on the mass market allowing the in-house IT departments to implement IT transformations independently. This would help to minimize the impact of the lack of expertise, limited scale and delays in executing projects. Against this background, SNP AG developed a new standardized software solution called SNP Transformation Backbone (SNP T-Bone). The software is used to control, direct and implement SAP transformations. SNP T-Bone is the world's first and, to date, only standardized software for SAP transformations. It gives organizations a unique advantage of flexibility to adapt independently to all changes that are taking place in the IT environment. It provides transparency at all levels of the process resulting in lower project duration and costs, ensuring safety as well as compliance.

With SNP T-Bone, organizations can reduce the project duration and cost by up to 50%. It can also make accurate predictions about the transformation project. Its analytical and strategic functions will enable companies to make a detailed planning of the business scenario with an exact estimate of the project cost.
